Referring to the summer season at which we are at, and the high temperatures that characterize this season, it is estimated that increasing the risk of showing fires and spreading them is potential, so reporting and reacting to such dangers rests on us all.
In order to take precautions, as well as co-ordinating actions in case of fire risks, protection of citizens' lives, protection of property and environment, today in 31.07.2024, in the facilities of the Kosovo General Directorate of Police in Pristina, representatives of the Kosovo Police, Agency for Emergency Management, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture and Development, have held a meeting with the Department for Security, Public Commission, Subcomputee, Ajvaz, where the action is discussed in the case of fire identification or fire identification in our country.
Purposeful fires and those caused by carelessness are criminal acts and are sanctioned by law. Also discussed by representatives of the competent ministry (MBPZHR) were the legal possibility of sanctioning with no involvement in subsidy programmes for all landowners burning their land surfaces.
Authors appeal to all citizens, and in particular to those who use ground-aligned surfaces, etc., that in no case cause fire-fire, as they will face legal consequences. Also, it is strongly appealed that in any case identified fires will be announced free emergency numbers: AME (112), Police (192) and Firefighters (193), in response as efficient as possible.
Also, co-operation with the Kosovo Police is required, The AME and other authorities in identifying people who could potentially be responsible for such cases of fires that could endanger general security and damage the environment.
Kosovo police are committed to co-operating with competent authorities every case to investigate and initiate legal procedure, as well as bringing all those suspected persons to justice bodies who are involved in such acts of fire-making or in another way endanger general security.
