The citizens' interest in handling documents after visa liberalisation in Kosovo has increased markedly.
In the first six months of this year alone, some 270 thousand citizens have applied to be equipped with passports and another 130 thousand with IDs.
Also, during this period Serbian citizens have expressed interest in integration and equipment with Kosovo documents.
So announced the director of the Civil Recording Agency, Blerim Camaj, shows that the largest influx of citizens with documents requirements has been in January, February and March of this year.
Camaj points out that after visa liberalisation in Kosovo, interest has also been observed by Serbian citizens in obtaining Kosovo documents.
Among other things, Camaj shows that nearly two thousand Serbian citizens have applied for the driver's patent conversion since the Interior Ministry's decision in May.
He points out that between 2011 and 2020, over 18 thousand drivers have been converted. In addition, Camaj says that in the first months of this year, due to the large influx of citizens for documents, the process went slower, but adds that things have already returned to normality.
He points out that the deadline for passport and ID equipment goes to about seven working days. / KP
