Four seed - planted greenhouses in the Decani Mountains

The report says that Kosovo police in the continuation of increased commitments during the implementation of an operational plan through technological equipment, on the Roskodol Mountain of Decani in a remote mountainous area, have located a location suspected of growing narcotic plants.

The “with the date 29.07.2024 specialised border units along with the anti-drug unit have gone to the suspected location, where 4 greenhouses have been found at the site, in which alleged narcotic marijuana plants, allegedly burned by suspected persons”, are said in the police report.

Police say that according to the sight of the site, there were allegedly about 300 narcotic plants of size from/to 1-2m in length.

The relevant units at the site have received material evidence, narcotic plant samples, an AK RH 47 pieced 32 rounds of bullets, and a gun calibre bullet shell and etc. ”, says the report.

Further, it is said that the evidence of non-burning narcotics materials left behind after consulting the relevant prosecutor has been lost at the scene, while after consulting the competent prosecutor has opened the case for the “narcotics plant selection” and “Unauthorized possession of weapons and ammunition”.

As far as the area is near the border, the Border Police of the Republic of Albania and Montenegro have also been communicated, which have activated their units in their respective areas.
