As a member of the RTK Board, I have considered it unacceptable to publish an unreserved news story on the RTK website and the central news edition yesterday.

In journalism the facts are sacred while the activity of verifying information is the process that has enabled journalism to survive. Honestly, the reason for the problems in journalism today, especially what only becomes online is lack of evidence.

I presented this position today at the RTK Board meeting and requested from the General Director's Task Agent to take action, since publication of news without facts is contrary to the RTK Law, the RTK Statistics and Professional Standards. The rest of the analysis I expect to seriously treat the interior commission.

Board RTK has come a long way from deinstrumentating RTK and restoring professional principles that would help public broadcaster restore confidence and credibility, sometimes in co-operation with management sometimes without such co-operation.

This road continues but does not compromise with the basic elements of journalism.
