“Road to Zajednica”, Citaku blames Gervala Kurt for visa liberalisation for Serbs

The deputy head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Vlora Citaku, has criticised the Government of Kosovo, especially Prime Minister Albin Kurti and chief diplomat Donika Grovalla, for the European Union's decision to liberalise visas for holders of Serbian passports issued by Serbian structures (Serbian Co-ordination Director) for Kosovo Serb citizens. Chitaku named it [...]
Citaku named this decision a major setback for Kosovo's sovereignty and international subjectivity, stressing that this is one of the biggest shocks the country has received since its 2008 declaration of independence.
She blamed Kurt and Gervala for an irresponsible and adventure approach that, according to her, has resulted.
“This is the biggest setback to Kosovo's sovereignty and international subjectivity since 2008. We've come to this point as a result of a completely irresponsible, adventured, childhood approach to Kurti-Grvalla binomial. The prime minister has ignored key allies”, Citaku said on TVDukagini.
“Because it is documents issued by Serbia's parallel structures on Kosovo territory, it has been granted international legitimacy... And this is coming at a time when the Government of Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti all day, trumpetes for the extension of Kosovo's sovereignty. Kurt has unfortunately reduced the idea of sovereignty in several offices within several municipal facilities in the north of”, Citaku added.
On the other hand, during the day at a news conference on Grovalla, she has expressed her dissatisfaction with the decision, calling it a wrong step on the part of the EU, and has stressed that the responsibility for that decision lies with the EU rather than with Kosovo.
