Civil Emergency Service in Gaza said it believes that dozens of people have been killed, but teams have been unable to reach the victims due to offensives continuing in Darage and Tufa in the east and in Tel Al-Hava, Sabra and Rimal in the west.

So far, Israeli tanks were stationed in several areas at Tel Al-Hava and Sabra, but had not progressed deeply into three other counties, which, according to residents, were bombed overnight and Monday morning. Residents reported that several buildings were destroyed.

The Israeli Army said through a statement that it is intensifying the operations against Hamas' infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, adding that it has taken action against more than 30 fighters who posed threats to Israeli troops.

The new Israeli offensive comes as Egypt, Qatar and the US have intensified efforts to mediate a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza war, which has entered the tenth month.

War began after Hamas on October 7 attacked the south of Israel, killing about 1,200 people and kidnapping some 250 others.

As a result of Israel's air, sea, and land offensive, more than 38,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip.

Hope has grown among Palestinians in Gaza for a pause in fighting after Hamas accepted a key part of the American ceasefire proposal, prompting Israeli negotiating team officials to say there are real chances of reaching a ceasefire.

Hamas gave up the request that Israel initially pledge a permanent truce before signing an agreement. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the agreement does not stop his country from renewing fighting until it meets its war goals.

The goals of Israel's war are the destruction of Hamas' military and governing capabilities and the return of Israeli hostages. / REL/
