Former President Donald Trump has on Saturday saved an assassination attempt on him at an election rally in Pennsylvania.
In his first response after receiving medical help, Trump confirmed that he was shot, saying the bullet pierced his ear.
I immediately realized that something didn't go into what I heard, a noise, a gunshot, and I immediately felt that the bullet was going through the skin”, he wrote in his account on the Social Truth.
Former President Trump has thanked the Secret Service and other law enforcement bodies “for their rapid response”.
“Most importantly, I want to express my condolences to the family of the person at the gathering that was killed, as well as to the family of another person who remained seriously injured”, he said in the post.
It's incredible that such an act could happen in our country. At the moment nothing is known about the assailant, who is already dead”, he adds.
