Prices of derivatives in our country have marked increases these days over five cents per litre. The price for one litre of oil today has cost up to 1 euro and 39 cents, while a litre of gasoline is traded up to 1 euro and 31 cents on the Kosovo market.
Prices of derivatives are raised annually at vacation time when fellow countrymen come to Kosovo, as well as in the harvest season for agricultural mechanization.
According to the Association of Consumers, the price of oil has been raised at the time of the arrival of the countrymen and in the harvest-forest campaign. Although oilers deny that this price increase has taken place for exiles and farmers.
Kosovo Oil Association Chairman Fadil Berjani has told Kosovo that the price for a litre of oil today is from 1.28 euros to 1.38 euros per cent, while the one for gas for 1 euro and 31 euro.
Mayor Berjan claims that fuel prices are cheaper in Kosovo than in the region, except for northern Macedonia.
The chairman of the Association “Consumator”, Ceatin Kachanicis, points out to Kosovo that there is the possibility that because of the arrival of fellow countrymen on holiday in the homeland, and the launch of the harvest-forest campaign, the derivatives are expensive by oilers.
Both of these, fellow countrymen and farmers, oilmen exploit and give them fuel and cost them fuel. Thus, these prices must be reduced, for other citizens suffer. Thus consumers are the most untraceable, even as citizens-consumers are taxpayers and budgetpayers from government-paid”, he stressed.
Oil Association Chairman Fadil Beryan has denied to have increased derivative prices as a result of the arrival of fellow countrymen.
No price increases coming. The award defines belle and production organization O PEC. As for harvests, I believe our farmers have government subsidies”, Berjan has said in an answer to KosovoPress.
On the other hand, oil prices on the international stock exchange have dropped Tuesday following continuing diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and uncertainty over the time of lowering the interest rate of the US Federal Reserve (Fed).
