How power jeopardised Periscop and National journalists' lives with their unequivocal connection to Belgrade

“We are witnesses that there are investments in mismanagement and in division and confusion of public opinion, there are people and any media channel in Kosovo that media interest has to be believed more news originating from Belgrade than news originally from Pristina. Despite our setting an example of correctness and truth, false news from Belgrade comes”.

This statement was issued by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on 28 August 2022, ahead of hundreds of members of the Self-Determinist Movement Council.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti had offended journalists who had come out to ask him about recent developments. Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq had declared how the United Kingdom has sent weapons to Kosovo, saying it would also require explanation by the prime minister of Great Britain.
