The court found that beyond any suspicion based, Peter Shala is guilty of points 1, 3 and 4 of the prosecution.
Shala was found guilty of detaining Arbytrar as a war crime against at least 18 people in the period between May 17th 1999 and June 5th of that year at the Metali Fabric in Kukes, torture as a war crime against at least 18 people and murder as a war crime against one person.
Shala was acquitted of point two of the prosecution.
On the count of 1, Shala was sentenced to 6 years in prison, with 16 years in prison for point three and 18 for point 4. Thus, he received a unique 18 - year Burigm sentence.
We remember that Shala was arrested on 16 March 2021 in Belgium and transferred to the Special Court facility in The Hague in Holland on April 15, 2021.
He has been acquitted of charges weighing on him: arbitrary ban, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful murder.
