Office says it had named someone else in the ZKZ sector at the time Wessel was not in Kosovo

In Kosovo Specialised Chambers ( DPSK) in The Hague, as of Tuesday, continues testimony by the 75th witness of the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS), Bislim Office in the judicial process against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi. The office said that at the time Wessel was outside Kosovo, in the tasks of the sector [...]
The office said that by the time Wessel was outside Kosovo, in the intelligence-compliance sector duties (ZKZ), it had assigned Mensur Kasum, reports the “Justice Voct”.
That statement, he did by answering Wessel's lawyer, Ben Emmerson.
Initially, Emmerson asked the witness whether it is true that he had been complained about the lack of an intelligence service within Kosovo at the time Wessel was outside.
This, the Office confirmed by confirming that prior to Kasumi's arrival there was no one to do anything about the ZKZ in the General Staff while Wessel was out.
The office said that Kasumi had received information only about the movement of Serbian forces.
Emmerson asked the witness if the reason for Kasumi's appointment involved the fact that the security service was unable to take care of the outside.
It's not just the reason for this, this writing at this time that Mr. Kasum on his arrival in the General Staff, I've led him in this direction to provide information about the G2 or the Intelligence-Controversial Sector, I haven't had anyone else. Since he has a history of experience and could do the task and has trained him. Until Mr. Wessel has returned, and actually until the change of staff has not been made and Wessel's transition from Staff to the civilian section, the witness actually answered.
Then he said that others have been deployed who have continued in the direction of the General Staff.
But, by that time, from January, which Kasumi was transferred to the General Staff except he was the director, he also carried out this task because we don't have any more blocks behind, we don't have any other resources to deploy”, the witness responded.
He also added that Wessel had not left him to do his duty when he was abroad.
At least me, Mr. Vessel has not left me someone who has been inside as a deputy or who does such work. This is then determined and he has accomplished the task. Not only here is there being a shortage in other countries, but the demands of commanders have been frequented”, he said.
Emmerson then asked the witness whether he himself had assigned Kasumi to perform these duties, which the witness confirmed.
Later, Emmerson said that in his statement, Kasumi had said he remembered that when he met with Wessel it was after he had returned to Kosovo in March.
