Abdixhiku writes that Kadare” has awarded worldwide honour and dignity to Albanian art, culture and language”.
“Today the Albanian world woke up in mourning. It was separated from the life of Ismail Kadare, the writer of international size, who for decades gave Albanian and that world masterpiece literature, which will always be reference to culture and literature, as universal values that cross national borders. Colli Ismail Kadare, through his works, has accorded him worldwide honor and dignity to art, culture, and Albanian”, he wrote.
It has presented the dark picture through which communist Albania has passed, suffering, sacrifice, but also real Albanian values. It through thousands of written pages has promoted Albanian tradition and culture in the world, giving an added value not only to Albanian literature but also to the entire continent and to the wider”, says the Comfort telegram.
Abdixhiku writes that “Kadare will remain the literary icon, unresistent master, a prominent intellectual, a devoted patriot and a powerful voice that fittingly represented Albania worldwide”.
“From today Albania and the world of literature lost a great personality, which was removed only physically but its work is eternal; as will its name and contribution to world culture and literature,” will remain eternal.
The consolation telegram also says that in LDK they remember “with gratitude his uneasiness commitment to the Kosovo issue, whose contribution is invaluable”.
In my personal name and the Democratic League of Kosovo, I express the most sincere condolences for family, friends, literary community and all Albanians wherever they are. Light it up!
