Muharrem: RTK's attack on two media is dangerous, investigation needed

Analyst Shenoll Muharremi has reacted sharply to the attack by power and RTK deputies on Periscope and Nationals.

He has said RTK should conduct an investigation into who has published information that these two media are financed by Vuciqi.

RTK's brutal attack on the two media had been ridiculous if it had not been dangerous for new democracy. Such charges might even have been expected by a controversial medium without an address, but a public institution like RTK should not have happened. At least not without well verifying the information and asking media in question for their reactions.

The public radio television reputation was seriously damaged yesterday and it shouldn't be left unre Addressed and clarified. For starters, an internal investigation (independent if there are no conditions or capacities and credibility for the interior) would be welcome, to understand what happened and who published it and who approved or checked the information.

The investigation report, which should be public, would also help the absolute majority of RTK personnel who are professionals and creditors. If there seems to have been professional and ethical offenses, then even measures against relevant individuals should be taken and learned so that such a thing cannot be repeated.

It is better to identify defects than to tarnish a public investment of a quarter century. And if they prove that there was a violation and RTK didn't act on professional principles, then even an apology to the media in question would help get out of a bad situation.

But if RTK does not do anything, then this may be the beginning of a new situation not only in the media but also in Kosovo, where a public institution openly attacks opposition media for power interests. And when that's accepted as fact and fashion opera, then RTK can attack anyone. Consequently, RTK would die and all public investments would fail, that its mission would be compromised.

Unnecessary Repeated, Predestination RTK is more important than any individual there or certain interest groups. More important than any power. Powers go and come, public interest, RTK's credibility should never be violated. For him, RTK has only one way to fulfill its mission and engagement: respect for professional principles.

As long as this medium operates in principle, there will be no danger, but when it is introduced into an adventure and seduced or influenced by powers, it seriously endangers its reputation. But most of all, RTK has to clean up any stains surrounding it to keep its credibility with the public. And if they don't, then the meaning of such an institution is lost. But there are professional people who will do what they need to improve this incident.
