The 16-year-old died at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo, where he was being treated since the day of the wound after severe injuries he received from the firearm.
News of his death for Paparac has confirmed the Constitutional Prosecution spokesman in Pec, Shkodran Nikci.

That same day, police official Fatjon Hoti was arrested and suspended from office.
The Kosovo Police Inspectorate was declared in the case.
“Today (16.07,2024) The IPK has accepted a tip from Kosovo police that there has been a shooting incident in the village of Dubrava of Istog, where a person was injured in the head. IPK investigators have immediately responded to the call, and at the scene, even relevant police units have emerged, as well as presiding prosecutor”.
