(2 years ago)Kosovo Judiciary Council (KGJK) has selected six judges for advancement at the Court of Appeals, namely judges: Valbona Musliu-Selimaj, Violet Husa-Rugova, Mevliide Kosumi-Qari, Mirlinda Bytyqi-Rejeppi, Kicaj and Bujar Doberdolani. The judges' advance took place at the 328th meeting of the Kosovo Judiciary Council, reports “Justice Trust”.
Presequently, KDR member Wilard Bytyqi announced that through this selection the fulfillment of the gender quota at the Appeals is reaching. He added that no one has applied from non-US communities.
Meanwhile, presiding Albert Zogaj said that there has been competition and that the candidacys have been strong in the competition for progress of judges to the Appeals.
Zogaj said there will soon be another process for advancement in Appeals.
