The Republican candidate for president of the United States was greeted by crowds in Milwaukee, holding his fist high.

He was even seen with the bandaged ear, after being hit with a 20-year-old bullet he tried to kill on Saturday afternoon.

He was surrounded by bodyguards that almost not even one of his supporters would likely be near as he entered the hall.

In that same Convention, Trump nominated Ohio's senator, JD Vance for the vice presidential post, despite his having once compared former US president to Adolf Hitler. /Telegraphy/
