Through a media survey, the AKK has suggested that this project aims to empower citizens by directly including them in their decisions on how public funds are distributed and spent.

This participating approach aims to increase the effectiveness and accountability of local governments, ensuring that budgetary decisions reflect the current needs and priorities of communities they serve.

The project that was signed by AKK Executive Director Mr. Saban Ibrahimi aims to strengthen democratic governance and the inclusion of citizens in the Kosovo municipalities through the participating budget, which is intended to be achieved by organising the workshop with Kosovo's Association Co-workers to address the budget, finance, transparency and legal issues, and by organising subsequent meetings to review the learned lessons and standardise public participation processes. This participating approach aims to increase the effectiveness and accountability of local governments, ensuring that budgetary decisions reflect the current needs and priorities of communities they serve”, it has been said in the AKK's announcement.
