President Vjosa Osmani has named Nita Shala ambassador to Kosovo in Italy.
Osmani announced that the former justice minister will be the country's representative in Rome.
For him, Osmani said he is <x0-professionist, distinguished judiciary”.
“I know Nitta professionally for about two decades and I have no doubt that she will serve her country with honour”, Osmani wrote in “X”.
“I wish success in the new task, confident that it will work on strengthening ties between Kosovo and Italy, the key and longtime ally of our country”, she added.
Nita Shala in advance was deputy justice minister at the Kurti 1 government and national co-ordinators for preventing domestic violence.
The MD was appointed in March 2020.
Nita Shala is a law science doctor from Graduate Institute-Geneva.
When Prime Minister Albin Kurti appointed him as deputy minister, his office wrote that Nita Shala “has excellent studies during basic studies at the University of Pristina Law School, in master's studies of criminal justice at Oxford University and in executive studies at Harvard, the School for Governance Kennedy”.
Nita Shala is a lawyer with professional experience in international institutions. She has also worked at the UN office in Geneva to advise the embassy of the Republic of Albania in the processes of the Council for Human Rights, at the Prosecutor's Office in The Hague's Tribunal, committed to the Prosecutor against Vojislav Seshel and against Vlastimir Djordjevic, and international support in EUralIUS and PAMECA V in Albania as legal expert of the reform implementation process and the establishment of new institutions in justice.
From 2018, he works at the Criminal Catandry at the Faculty of Jurydide, University of Pristina, in criminal rights and international criminal rights”.
