Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the “diaspora investment window” detailed about this initiative.
According to him, this is a step towards creating conditions for economic development and new job openings.
“We have promised unpolluted governance, well thought-out policies and image change. We saw our license as a key factor”, he said.
Next, Kurt indicated that the possibility of exile becoming an active investor is under way.
We are opening the window for the diaspora to be sent to Kosovo as well. The entire window will have 100m euros”.
And the Minister of Finance, Labour and Transferences, Iron Murati, has spoken of launching the new “Diritor for Diaspore Investment”.
Murati said the government would guarantee additional capital of up to 8m euros, while the KKGK has offered 2 million.
This will enable increased investment from the diaspora. There have been credit stories there, but no credit for investment in Kosovo has been issued. The idea has been to create a new window to enable guaranteeing these loans for investment from the diaspora. From conversation we have come to the conclusion that this is Donoustine” Murati said.
Kosovo's “government has offered up to 8m euros in additional capital, while the fund has offered 2m and will issue loans to up to 3m euros for investments” he added.
