Daciq: We're working on identifying whether the person who killed the cop is Artan Hajrizi or his brother.

Serbia's Interior Minister, Ivica Dacic, has said they are working intensively to identify whether the police killer in Loznica is the person whose documents were found, Artan Hajrizi or his brother Fatoni, who escaped from the Smrekonica prison in Vushtrria 6 July.  

But he has not ruled out the possibility that even false identity might be.

“We are determining whether the killer is the person we have found the documents or is his brother. Probably a false identity”, Daciq said of Serbia's Radio Television (RTS).

On Thursday around 00:55, one policeman was killed and another was seriously injured in Loznica, Serbia, and the main suspect is a Kosovar, according to Serbia's Interior Ministry. The murder suspect had been in a taxi the moment he was detained for routine control. Later, according to the media in Serbia, he has shot at the police. The taxi driver has been detained for 48 hours, while the search continues for the suspect.

Daciqi has raised doubts that the murder of the Serbian police could be the terrorist attack prepared by Kosovo structures “.

“This can't be an accident and the prosecution will be taken to organised crime because police were attacked at the head of duty”, Daciq said.

Serbia's Interior Minister has said the suspect is armed and over 150 police members are engaged in his capture.

Serbia's Interior Ministry earlier published the photo of Artan Hajriz, whose passports and German identification documents were found at the scene.
