He says Albanian literature lost one of its most special Colossians, while Albanian culture remained without its most prominent ambassador.
Among other things, Konjufca says Kadare will remain the biggest advocate of Albanian European identity.
The “Ismail Kadare Opera, in addition to world-level literary and artistic values, for which it was translated, read and honoured around the world, will remain the most complete encyclopedia of the soul, ethnicos and Albanian identity. Kadare was not only the creator of the monumental works in our literature but also the most passionate writer and grower of Albanian. Ismail Kadare today left us physically, but he will live in the mind and soul of his readers forever. His work will remain immortal”, writes the head of the Parliament on Facebook.
