Clear Borrell: Kosovo, Serbia European Route passes through dialogue

European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative Josep Borrell has met on Wednesday with Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Djuric, who has told him that the European path of Kosovo and Serbia runs through EU-mediated dialogue.

In the announcement issued by the EU's Diplomatic Service, Borrell has reportedly reiterated the bloc's expectation that Kosovo and Serbia should engage in dialogue and without delay reach a comprehensive, legally binding agreement for normalising relations in line with EU values and international law.

The main priority is to move forward with implementation of the Agreement on the road towards normalising relations. Borrell recalled that the relevant European path of Kosovo and Serbia runs through dialogue”, he has said.

Borrell has further underlined the EU's strong expectations for Serbia to step up its efforts towards full harmonisation over Russia's stance on aggression against Ukraine, including restrictive measures.
