Kosovo and Serbian chief negotiators Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkov will meet in Brussels today.

The EU's representative for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, said that with Bislim and Petkov continuing to work on unblocking the agreement.

While referring to separate meetings with Kurt and Vuciqi last week, he said discussions were more challenging than ever.

He lamented that there was no progress in implementing the agreement towards normalisation.

Last “, Borrell and I waited for President Vuciq and Prime Minister Kurti in Brussels for another meeting of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue. Unfortunately, we have not seen any progress in implementing the Normalisation Way Agreement. Discussions were challenging as never before. However, our work continues tomorrow when it will gather the chief negotiators to process concrete steps to unblock implementation of the Agreement. My week ended in Dubrovnik at the annual Dubrovnik Forum that brings together policymakers from the Western Balkans and beyond. This event is always a good indication of where we are before the summer political holidays. This year, the focus was on global challenges, elections and future developments, but we also discussed the future of the Western Balkans as part of the EU. ”

While EU spokesman for foreign policy and security Peter Stano said the priority at the meeting would be the urgent implementation of the Agreement on the road to normalisation of relations“.
