According to the Special Prosecutor's report, Haxhiu was called in order to clarify her statement given to the Dukaagjini TV media on the “Debat Plus show on July 02th 2024, concerning possible meetings and discussions with prosecutors and judges for certain cases, as well as her posting to the July 20th 20th 2024 social Facebook network, concerning the escapes that occurred from Kosovo prisons.
On Saturday, she said state bodies have information that “in at least in some cases”, power-related criminal groups in Serbia have helped and organised the escapes of prisoners to Kosovo.
The key “has to point to the fact that the escape of some people who are being sought by responsible institutions in the Republic of Kosovo is being done in only one direction: that of Serbia's territory. Information of our bodies suggests that, on at least in some cases, these escapes have been created, organised, co-organised and facilitated by criminal groups linked to power structures on Serbia's territory”, Haxhiu said.
The justice minister had said Serbia's support for the fugitive in Kosovo “is certainly intentional, organised and linked in order to undermine Kosovo's public, constitutional and legal order”.
Serbia's “Option of territory as a shield to the prosecution of the criminal organs of our Republic serves crime and openly contributes to the violation of the institutional and legal stability of the Republic of Kosovo. The systematic frequency of these cases in this period has no meaning but the aggressive political goal of our northern neighbour”, Hadziu had expressed it.
In its long-standing social networking address, Haxhiu further said that because of the non-continent “information” cannot be known for certain if Faton Hajrizi was killed.
“About these days were controversial, so we cannot know for certain whether he is really killed and whether he is killed in the territory of Serbia or Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including other important and necessary details for the investigation. There is definitely a need for extensive, deep investigation to whiteen the truth of this case”, she said.
Faton Hajrizi, killed Friday, has been on the run by Serbian authorities, as on July 18th it was reportedly killed by a Serbian police official and injured another, during a routine search in Loznica, Serbia, a town near Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Besides Hajrizi, another prisoner, Wykan Metaj, has escaped in recent days in Kosovo. /Periscopi
