At least 35 people have died and more than 230 others have been injured as a result of torrential rains and storms recorded in the eastern province of Nangarhar in Afghanistan, authorities have announced.
Earlier in the day, five others have died from the same causes in the province of Kunar.
According to authorities, the number of victims in Nargarhar is expected to increase.
They have said they expect to register many damage and break communication lines.
The Afghan Department of Meteorology has said it expects heavy rain and floods to take place in 12 Afghan provinces. /rel
