Abraham: Government making solutions, Murati Ministry is blocking municipalities with payment system

The head of the Kosovo Communists Association, Saban Ibrahimi, has called on the government to make solutions for contract payments to the municipality of the Year and Decani.

Ibrahim has said the finance ministry is blocking the payment system of the Commission of the Year and Decani.

( The MFPT has made the closure of access to the payment systems of financial officials of the municipalities of the Year and Decani due to obligations stemming from collective contracts for education and health, and that for these municipalities is a major concern and a sum unaffordable to municipal budgets. This is estimated to be a million. This could happen to other municipalities in the future. The municipalities demand that the Government make the payment settlement for collective contracts because the ministries are signatories of collective contracts, not municipalities.
So, as the Minister of MPT's Association of Kosovo municipalities, we express deep concern and we seek the solution as soon as possible from the MFPT ministry on this issue, because even if it becomes an annulment of all unpublished projects, municipalities cannot cover even half these tools.
We also ask the relevant ministry to allow municipalities to have access to the payment system of financial officials, because it is unfair and has blocked the whole work and projects that are under way, and also the payments that must be made in the set term”, said the report.
