Only 275 euros paid, Kosovo Assembly Technical Workers Protest

Kosovo's Parliament's technical workers on Tuesday have protested in front of the highest lawmakers institution because of low wages. They have demanded that salaries ranging from 270 euros to 500 euros.

They have warned other union acts if their demands are not realized.

Workers' Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi has said the problem lies with the contracting company, where of 18 thousand euros only 60,000 are separated for technical workers.

The employee's representative, Nazife Krasniqi, has said their only requirement is to get what is due according to the law.

“We've been looking for our salaries, we've talked to the secretary, the director there is said that it's possible to increase wages, but we the economic operator's not responding. We can't work at 275 euros when we have food on the road, but it's not enough for us”, she said.
