The chairman of the United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture (SBASHK), Nundman Jasharaj, has told Online Economy that teachers have thought a one-hour strike with the start of the new school year.
The SBASAK leader has said that their request has come after Kurti Government has failed to meet the requirements it has unveiled on 1 May. As a result, Jasharaj declared education workers dissatisfied.
“We often hold meetings online with municipal-level and university mayors because they are at school every day and are daily in constant communication with the heads of associations, education workers are unhappy and they are looking for either dialogue and resolution of requirements or thinking of union actions. What was debated last night was to see with our colleagues an hour that the date has not been set, not to be regular classes, but to be an hour that expresses anger, frustration and students to talk about and I believe that students will send the message back to their homes, and that's all it is that the Government has enough time to wait for us to sit down and talk and solve the problems we have, Jasharai said.
Although only a few days remain until the end of the new school year, Jasharaj has said that this year has started badly as a result of the decision on textbooks.
Let's tell the truth, this year luckily wasn't followed by strikes but began badly. With a poor decision by Mrs. Nagavci regarding textbooks. This first - time form seems to have linked anger and will continue in the coming school year, causing this year to begin with difficulty. September had gone much further by challenging teachers about whether to start explaining new units or what to do, because they had faced a new situation when a large part of the students had failed to obtain textbooks in September and then continued in October. It was a pretty bad year, pretty hard, locked up. Even though we're talking to our colleagues everywhere, they're very unhappy and tell them the truth we've been waiting for dialogue, which has been completely absent and this year has gone without a meeting between the SBASAK with Mrs. Nagavci, even despite the letters”, Jasharaj said.
The editor-in-chief has declared the Kurti government eliminating union voice. Prime Minister Kurti and Ministers Nagavci and Murati, calling them union enemies “ ”.
This Government has barricaded and ignored the whole dialogue, and as an example, it's the worst example of Iron Murati, which has become one year and more the Economic Council has blocked it. Social, where trade unions at least debated, the government of the private sector. This Council doesn't work at all. Prime Minister Kurti, but not only, but also Iron Murati and Mrs. Nagavci, will be remembered by teachers and others as trade unions enemies in Kosovo, as people who have taken the opportunity to shut down trade unions, but unfortunately, the SBASK has failed to shut down”, Jasharaj said.
