On June 14th, the Judicial Chamber ordered the continuation of Thaci and Wessel's detention in decisions with itself, and found the two accused that there is still a danger of obstructing the progress of the judicial process or committing other crimes”, Kosovo Specialised Chambers spokeswoman Angela Greep said at a news conference.
“In their decisions, the judges stressed that the names and personal records of some of the extremely vulnerable witnesses would continue to be given protection and the accused would be recognized, and that the release of an accused who has knowledge of sensitive information would not help effectively protect witnesses who have not yet witnessed.
In this regard, the Judicial Chamber also recalled its earlier findings that it seems that the accused provided visitors with information concerning the testimony of protected witnesses and, in the case of Mr. Thaci, he conveyed instructions for a future witness regarding the form and content of the testimony that would provide”, the spokeswoman for the Specialised Chambers said, among other things.
