Former General: Situation in fragile north, across Serbia border is training Serbian citizens

In a direct link to Dukaagjini TV, Kastrati has said Serbia is training northern Serb citizens across the border at training bases of the Serbian Army and police.

The situation is extremely calm, but I think the situation is fragile because Serbia through terrorist groups has failed on September 24th of last year, they are training northern Serb citizens across the border on training bases of the Serbian Army and police. Serbia is moving or maneuvering with its brigades on Kosovo territory. Any movement of Serbian forces in one way or another claim that they are moving, they move on their own territory, we never fear the Serb military and police forces, whether their movement in their territory, or if they attack Kosovo, we are willing to carry out our duties... Serbia never has the courage to give itself that comfort to try Kosovo...”, he said.

Kastrati has suggested that the biggest danger to Kosovo's territory are terrorist groups at the helm with Radojic and other people involved directly in financing, supporting these terrorists.

“I have precise information that President Putin has said several times that President Vuciq don't hurry, this is not the time, to wait for the situation in Ukraine and if Russia succeeds a victory then Russia would be interested that the Western Balkans do not leave it open on one side...”, he said.

As for Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement that Serbia's plan was to encourage the KSF to react to the north, Kastrati says Serbia's final goal is to promote an armed conflict.

The “has nothing to do with promoting the KSF to endure in the 24 September case when it was the terrorist attack in the north. Their goal is already known clearly, and Serbia is constantly working to achieve its final goal of promoting an armed conflict and through this conflict achieves its goal for the northern part of Kosovo to annex Serbia. The KSF has its own mission, tasks and purposes that protect them based on laws that have been approved... The KSF's mission is to protect Kosovo's sovereignty and territorial integrity, to carry out the obligation and orders of Kosovo institutions... no one needs to encourage the Kosovo Army to carry out its obligations based on the Constitution and its” laws, he added.

Kastrati has also spoken about the mission KSF has and its four main tasks.

“The KSF, based on its mission, has four main tasks: protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity, implementation of all obligations emerging from Kosovo's central institutions, participation in peacekeeping operations and humanitarian operations within NATO... and the fourth is the protection of the lives and property of Kosovo citizens. This means that three of these tasks have to do with the protection, preservation of property, citizens' lives, the borders of Kosovo, and here there is absolutely nothing that is not in accordance with the laws and Constitution of Kosovo”.
