Goran Rakiq, in the quality of the Minister for Communities and Kthim (pots that he currently does not exercise), has been sentenced by the Pristina Court to 3 months in prison on bail and a fine of 1,000 euros for non-deedance of property.
Rakic has reached plea agreement with the Pristina Prosecutor, and the sentence recommended in the agreement was the one being submitted by the Court in 19.06.2024, reports Call it in. com.
He is accused of having submitted property statements for 2020, not presenting the data correctly, not declaring his income as assistant to the High Economic School in Pec and the Public Company in Mitrovica.
According to Prosecutor Ali Aydin, the agreement was made after interviewing the defendant in the prosecutor's office.
Lawyer Asdren Hoxha, who advocates the accused, said this agreement has been made from the reason for the economy of the procedure, the finding of real truth and the interest of justice. The accused, however, has been informed of the benefits and consequences of the plea agreement.
At the review session of the agreement present were representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Gani Nikci, who supported the agreement reached between the prosecutor and the defendants.
Case judge Naim Kranqi has approved the plea agreement, saying the same has no actual and judicial flaw.
Goran Rakiq, a graduate economist, has been part of the institutional life of the Republic of Kosovo.
