Police control Serbs gathering in Gazimestan, remove provocative T-shirts and Serbian flags

Police confiscated Serbian youth's T-shirts and Serbian flags, which they considered provocation and inciting hatred.
Over the years, Vidovdan is organised on June 28th in Gazimestan.
Last year, this holiday was not allowed to be held in Gazimestan, moving it to the Gracanica Monastery “because of the security situation”.
The celebration of this day links with the anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo, which Serbian history recognises as its spiritual victory despite the great loss of Balkan forces and the murder of Serbian Prince Lazar.
Marking the anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo in 1989, at the time of Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic's leadership, turned to the climax of nationalism in the former Yugoslavia, with the stated proclamation of Serbia's union, through the collapse of Kosovo's autonomy and with the warning of bloody wars leading to the destruction of the former Yugoslav federation. / EO
