Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told his cabinet on Sunday that it is looking at a dramatic <x0-seconds in American arms shipments for Israel's efforts in the Gaza war.
The American President's administration, Joe Biden, has denied this claim the day before.
Netanyah's statement is seen as a sign of increasing tensions between the two allies.
Netanyahu has told his cabinet that the first shortages were observed four months ago, not to mention anything concrete, and that certain devices have arrived in a sporadically, but the ammunition has been left behind”.
The differences between the two countries concern the war in Gaza, mainly regarding Israeli access to this conflict and the safety of Palestinians there.
President Biden has delayed sending several heavy bombs since May, but his administration has dismissed Netanyah's claims that it is also about other shipments.
After what I've heard in the last few days, I hope and believe that this issue will soon be resolved”, Netanyahu said on Sunday, without giving more details.
He made these statements hours after Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant traveled to Washington to meet with senior officials.
The Gaza War, promoted by Hamas é Palestinian group declared terrorist by the United States and the European Union on October 7th in southern Israel, has challenged Israeli relations - U.S., as never before.
Some 1,200 Israelites were killed in that attack and over 240 others were taken hostage.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza states that more than 37,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children, have been killed since the start of the war.
Although the US has said it strongly supports Israel's intentions of freeing the hostages and defeating Hamas, American authorities are concerned about the number of Palestinian victims and the humanitarian crisis created by the war. /rel
