LDK MP: 1 year under EU sanctions, this government is failed and must resign

Democratic League of Kosovo MP Rzazarta Krasniqi, through a Facebook status, has raised concern that Kosovo continues to be under EU sanctions even after 365 days.

Krasniqi said that even after a year from setting EU punitive measures, this government has failed and that Kosovo is in the most difficult situation ever.

It also calls for the resignation of Kurti Government.

“365 days under sanctions from the EU. Today, it becomes one year from the deployment of EU punitive measures for the Republic of Kosovo. Nobody could imagine that our allies 25 years after the intervention for Kosovo's liberation would impose sanctions for us”, Krasniqi wrote.

Furthermore, the LDK MP stressed that this time we would have to celebrate membership in any international organisation.

This government is failed and should resign because the country is in the most difficult situation ever. This government has lost its way and caused major damage to the country. At this time we would have to celebrate membership in any international organisation, advance for seats in NATO and the EU, while we, unfortunately, are celebrating the 1st anniversary of sanctions from the EU, the house we have always dreamed of being part of. You are a government of shame and you will be remembered for the irreparable damage you have done to the country”, Krasniqi has declared.
