Kurti attacks Court: The Constitution brought down two laws, chose to delay the prosecution of crime and reform

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at today's cabinet meeting, spoke of the collapse of two laws by the Constitutional Court, saying it would prevent “prosecution of crime” and the reform targeted by them in the justice system. “We have drafted and adopted the Law for the Bureau for Confiscating Unjustified Riches, as we have approved [...]
“We have drafted and adopted the Law for the Bureau for Confiscating Unjustified Riches, as we have adopted the Law for the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, which at the next session will be voted in the second reading. For more efficient and independent prosecutors from politics and an independent institution that would return property stolen. Both of these laws as fundamental reforms for the justice system and fighting corruption also consulted the Venice Commission that approved both of these”
Saying that there are public benefits from these laws in the face of groundless, criminal and individual enrichment, the Constitution chose otherwise.
With all this, the Constitutional Court overturned both laws, thereby choosing to delay the prosecution of crime and delay our reform. By 5 votes for a four-vote report, the Constitutional Court has found the Constitutional Court violated the Law for the Bureau for Confiscating Unjustified Riches, thus showing that the Constitution is otherwise viewed by half of the Constitutional Judges in proportion to the other half. ”
