Defence Minister at the Government of the Republic of Kosovo Ejup Macedonia has signed the joint agreement with Lithuanian counterpart Laurelnas Kasciunas, under which Kosovo is officially part of the Deminisation Coalition for Ukraine.
Through a post on the social network Facebook, Macedonia said Kosovo took an important step in its representation and role in global security.
He announced that this coalition is aimed at providing support to Ukraine through offering training in the area of demining.
“Today in Brussels with Lithuania Defence Minister Laurynas Kasčınas, signed the joint agreement under which Kosovo is also officially part of the Demination Coalition for Ukraine, thus becoming the 17th member state of this coalition aimed at providing support for Ukraine through providing training in the area of demining, which we have pledged as part of the Contact Group for Ukraine, which is another step taken by the side of Kosovo for the Ukrainian people except after we have already delivered two military packages.
Our soldiers will line up beside our partners on this global democratic front against aggression and violence!”, he wrote.
Minister Macedonia said Kosovo will continue to stand alongside Ukraine.
