The arrested policeman allegedly caused last night's accident in Fushe Kosovo, which resulted in a 33-year-old losing his life.
“The IPK has been informed by Kosovo police of an accident with serious bodily injuries on Pristina Street Fushë Kosovo, where a police official with a civilian car is involved in the accident and outside official office”, the report said.
“Based on investigative actions allegedly responsible for the accident is the police official who was arrested today in the evening with suspicion that the same criminal work has been committed “risking public traffic””.
Total notification of IPK's:
The IPK has been informed by Kosovo Police of an accident with serious bodily injuries on Pristina Street Fushë Kosovo, where a police official with a civilian car is involved in the accident and outside official office.
The accident was reported to have occurred at about 11:00 yesterday, where four vehicles were involved.
After accepting this information, The IPK immediately responded to the case while the five injured persons in this accident were sent for medical treatment.
As a result of bodily injuries, a driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident is unfortunately reported to have lost his life today.
Based on investigative actions allegedly responsible for the accident is the police official who has been arrested in the evening hours on suspicion that the same has committed criminal work “risking public traffic”.
The same with the prosecutor's decision has been imposed on the detention measure for 48 hours.
Other actions will be taken in line with IPK legal authorisations and co-ordination with the competent prosecutor.
