Hoxhaj has said that Prime Minister Kurti in these three years of governance has fought completely in the opposite line of international trends and geopolitical changes, using Kosovo's north as a platform to consolidate its power.
“With the war in Ukraine, with the war in Gaza, with a possible war in Taiwan, has broken apart international order, and Mr. Kurti has fought completely, in the opposite direction of international trends, of geopolitical changes and, above all, has decided that in the name of a policy that the more his internal power is consolidated by using Kosovo's north as a platform to consolidate his”, Hoxhaj said.
Former Kosovo Foreign Minister added that today the country's northern situation serves to be in power Albin Kurti in Pristina and Aleksandar Vucinqi in Serbia.
Hoxhaj stressed that the PDK has never used the situation in the country's north for political popularity.
“We have acted in relation to Kosovo's north, disposing parallel structures, fighting crime and organised crime in the country's north, doing everything to complete the construction of Kosovo in the north of the country, integrating the Serb community. We have never used the northern Kosovo situation for political popularity. This is not in line with the national interest of the state of Kosovo”, Hoxhaj said.
He added that “what has happened in the last two years in the north has been a policy of Serbia, where Mr. Kurti has fallen into the trap of Aleksandar Vuciqi”.
Kosovo's “North is used as a platform for the West to lose confidence in the state of Kosovo, for Kosovo and West to be divided, so that Americans and Europeans don't trust the Republic of Kosovo, using the north as a platform of the hybrid war so that such a thing can happen, and today Kurti government does not trust anyone in Washington in Berlin, in Paris, in Rome, in London, in Brussels, as if it witnessed the very fact of the letter that Meloni Schol and Macron1>, Hoxhaj said.
Speaking of the Association of Serb-run municipalities, Hoxhaj said the draft status is a full political, territorial, religious autonomy that has resulted from actions in the country's north.
The “Reality which was created in the north of the country has led to international mediator Friedrich ch-Ebert-Stiftung, and Miroslav Lajcak throw a draft association plan, which is autonomy beyond what has been accepted... The government can find a statement to escape the situation today. But, you will see that that draft is on the table even in 2025, 2026 and 2027 the damage that this Government Kosovo has done in the dialogue, is that first we have accepted a French-German plan a Brussels deal, without changing any single” sentence, Hoxhaj said.
He further added that autonomy, which is envisioned with the Association with the very management that Kurti has accepted, shows that what has happened so far is not in line with Kosovo's state interest.
