Florian Hahn, political defence spokesman for the party “Union”, explained. “We need an effective KFOR to reduce continued conflict and possible escalation in northern Kosovo and the Serbian border”.
Meanwhile, support for Germany's involvement in the EU mission Eufor Althea in Bosnia and Herzegovina has also been approved by the AfD party.
The German federal government has approved the extension of both mandates, set to vote at the next Bundestag session. “Preservation of peace in this region, near Germany, is a valid target”, according to State Secretary of Defence Siemte Moler (SPD).
