From today, Germany will accept 50 thousand qualified workers from the Balkans annually

Following the adoption of laws in Bundestag, the two legal changes that were adopted in Germany last year finally take effect on June 1st, reports DW.
The contingent from the Western Balkans, coming with relaxed regulations in Germany, doubles
On June 1st, 2024 expands the Western Balkan regulation. This regulation was introduced several years ago to facilitate the arrival of the workforce from Western Balkan countries.
The number of workforce from Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia to Germany will now expand from 25,000 to 50,000 people annually.
On June 1st, the Chance Card also comes into force
With this card, foreigners from non-EU countries are able to travel to Germany to look for jobs, even without a job contract. For obtaining the Chess Charter, points must be collected: there are several criteria for taking scores, there are estimated the basic recognition of German or good English language, qualifications, professional experience, at least two years or a high professional schooling in the country of origin.
For other special achievements, candidates take other points: Who gets 6 points gets permission to stay in Germany for a year if they make a living on their own.
