German Embassy in line with the EU for Ibër Bridge, Brussels solution

Germany's Embassy spokesman in Pristina, Christian Boettcher, in a reply to Gazeta Express, has said that the opening of the Ibër Bridge is subject to two agreements reached within the easy dialogue and has said that despite that, the Bridge continues to be closed to cars.

The opening of the Mitrovica bridge is the subject of two agreements reached by the parties within the EU-brokered dialogue in 2015 and 2016. Despite EU efforts at relief over the years, the bridge remains closed to traffic”, Boettcher told Express.

He has now said that as an open issue dealing with the Brussels dialogue, the decision on it should be taken within dialogue, with the participation of official Kosovo and Serbian delegations.

“Since this is an issue dealing with the EU facilitated dialogue, negotiations and any decision regarding the Bridge should be made under the dialogue with the participation of the official delegations of Kosovo and Serbia”, Boettcher told Express.

Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police Veton Elshani had given a warning that the Ibri Bridge will be opened very soon.

I consider the time when this bridge will be opened and how it will be opened.
