EU spokesman Peter Stano, at a media conference, has said that for months they have seen mutually “steps from Kosovo.
“Of course we are concerned about the situation in northern Kosovo, because we have seen unilateral, uncoordinated steps in the past, leading to new escalation. And this is also related to the matter of measures. Continued escalation resulted in EU measures”.
The EU, it hopes, will be prevented by both sides, otherwise has warned other forms to prevent their actions other than public statements.
“netally we are hoping that everyone is doing their best to expand, to help with steps that finally help us escape the cycle of tensions and return where we should be, which is the platform of dialogue, seeking solutions to the urgent implementation of the Agreement for normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina”, he said.
On 14 June, Kosovo Police have indicated that the seizure of the amount of weapons in northern Kosovo has been done in co-operation with the Intelligence Agency (AKI).
Kosovo Police Deputy Director for the Northern Region Veton Elshani, at a news conference, has said the operation was conducted in several locations where weapons were located hidden by former Civil Protection members and members of the Banja terrorist group.
