He has been sentenced to 17 years in prison, the 49-year-old defendant of origin from Macedonia, for serious murder, from the District Court in Baden.
According to the medium Albinfo. ch, the convict's lawyer had sought an eight-year sentence for murder by negligence or effective murder, but the court ruled otherwise.
They unanimously sentenced the 49-year-old to 17 years in prison for serious murder, while the public prosecution had sought 18 years.
The convict also has to pay the compensation of the 200,000 franc survivors.
Part of the prosecution indictment reportedly: “Pak later he called the emergency number. “The 15-minute call shows strikingly how indifferent he was to his wife's death”, the public prosecutor said.
The prosecutor also accused the 49-year-old man of deliberately doing so that the bathroom door would not be left open, despite police phone instructions he denied, writes Tages Anzeiger.
