Kosovo Democratic Party Secretary-General Vlora Citaku says the “shtias” are not for other opposition parties, while she sees the tight race between the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement. Do you believe that the government, after the elections, will lead the candidate PDK, Bedri Hamza.
Citaku in a conversation with Online Economy has stressed the need to go to elections as soon as possible because of the damage being inflicted on the country by the Kurti Government.
According to the former Integration Minister, there is a huge recession in the economy for three and a half years, our allies have lost confidence in the leaders of Kosovo institutions, and mass migration is taking place because of this government.
She has flatly denied there has been any agreement with the Vetevendosje Movement for coalition after the elections.
“There is no kind of agreement between the PDK and LVV, except for our request as the PDK so that the country can go to the polls and the mandate to return to citizens. This is not as a wish but as a necessity and a necessity. The country is in stagnation, we've marked a formidable recession in the economy, the parameters in migration are terrible, our allies have lost confidence in the leaders of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, and we are insisting that we have elections as soon as possible in order to stop this degradation. We don't have spears for our colleagues in opposition, we're not in the race with him, we're in the race with Albin Kurti and LV, and we're aiming to return the mandate to the citizens so that Kosovo comes a responsible government at the helm with future Prime Minister Bedri Hamza”, says Citaku.
Citaku says the only opportunity to go to the elections is through the distribution of the Parliament, while Kurti's resignation sees feasible, while citing the fact that the opposition does not have enough votes to bring down Government.
Criticism also addresses other opposition parties, which it says do not have the same goal, going to early elections.
“The situation is very simple, for now the only way to go to elections is to spread the Assembly. We don't have votes for government dismissal. The whole opposition has 40 deputies together, but the resignation is not determined by our request, it is the current prime minister's decision, and if we are all agreeing that Kosovo is in a bad position, that the country is going in the wrong direction, then our priority should be the goal, and the goal is to organise the elections as soon as possible, yet I fear that the window for such a decision is narrowing down, yet we have been trying in this process as the PDK to be consistent with our application for the new elections from July last year and to be co-operative and not use this situation to attack each other at all times, Chiku says.
Co-ordination with international partners, Citaku sees vital for functioning of the state. You see that fact as missing because of Kurti Government. It also mentions sanctions imposed by the European Union.
“Imagine in 2024, Kosovo is under EU sanctions. Imagine the year 2024m Kosovo is excluded from many EU initiatives, and this as a result of a completely irresponsible approach of the prime minister and the government he leads. In the century we live, alliances are just as important as sovereignty. We live with a time when coordination between partners and allies is a must not only wish, it is a necessity, it is a necessity. The United States co-ordinates with China, Japan, Germany, France. It's quite natural co-ordination, it's not a disaster, but unfortunately the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the carriers of Kosovo institutions seem to have taken these alliances as good, the alliances are not well-being, they should be cultivated and should be maintained”, Citaku said.
Albin Kurti's three-year government, Citaku qualifies him as irresponsible and irresponsible. He says that because of the executive, mass migration is taking place. She says the ruling party has made efforts to polarise Kosovo society further.
And unfortunately, we haven't had any success because the successes of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, we should all be happy. Unfortunately, this rule in the softest case could qualify as ineligible, irresponsible and a weak tax manager. The greatest damage VV has caused to Kosovo, and not only three years, is the extreme polarisation of society, the unbearable ease with which gross words in political and public discourses have been used, the loss of Allied confidence in Kosovo, and at the very least as a result of a chaotic situation, an amulita we have also seen the loss of the hope of the citizens of the country, and a massive migration that should be our greatest concern”, she said.
