This is a challenge that the business has for the past two years: Kosovars unemployed, businesses with workers from foreign states

But about two thirds of it, or 1 million and 180 thousand and 450 people, are at work.
So says the Kosovo Statistics Agency report, in the results of the Workers' Power Survey for the third month of 2023.
According to the report in this period, the employed were 432,040, which if compared to the same period in 2022, is 14,567 more.
Of them, 332,420 are men and 150,839 women.
Amazingly, even the number of unemployed persons has increased by 51,219, or 529 by many.
Employees aged 15 to 64 are about 432 thousand, while unemployed at this age are 51 thousand Kosovars.
And those who are of age, 15 to 24, who are unemployed, are about 11,000.
And the most disturbing statistics are estimated that young people who are not employed, and who don't even attend education or any training, which makes up a total of 103 thousand young people.
So does economist Union Mustafa, but the same problem sees another category.
“What is disturbing in this report is the high rate of unemployment, especially the inactive part of the population, where the largest turnout has a value of 75.2%x1>, economist Union Mustafa has said.
But, otherwise, they consider the situation in the country by the Kosovo Economic Oda.
They are concerned with reducing the new workforce, the cause of their departure.
“is continuing the challenge of lack of labor force. This is a challenge that businesses have for the past two years, but it is more pronounced with visa liberalisation. The most hit sectors by the lack of labor force are the construction and gastronomy sectors”, OEK Chairman Lulzim Rafuna has said.
The same added that workers are coming from other countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, India and Turkey.
