Bosnia: “All-Serbian”, dangerous Vuciki project

“The entire Assembly” is a dangerous project of Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, which directly relates to Russia's efforts to destabilise Southeast Europe and draw attention to its aggression in Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Denis Becirovic said. The so-called “whole session” gathered on Saturday [...]
The so-called “country-wide coalition” met in Belgrade on Saturday, where leaders of Serbia and the Bosnian Serb entity, Republika Srpska, called for the unity of Serbs throughout the region.
It was organised under the slogan “A people, a congregation of Serbia and Srpska” and produced the so-called Declaration for the protection of national and political rights and the common future of the Serbian people.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq said the language of the declaration has been carefully chosen and that it focuses on Kosovo, takes into account the Dayton Agreement that ended the war in Bosnia in the 1990s and does not mention the division of Bosnia.
He, however, added that Serbia “would never abandon Republika Srpska”.
Becirovic said that “the entire government” threatens peaceful and equal co-operation among European states.
“Such a scenario applies only to Russia [Vladimir] Putin and for this reason it is no coincidence that top Russian officials have publicly supported maintaining the entire European Free Radio Service.
He added that the organisation of a entirely Serb assembly is contrary to the practices of a democratic and civilized world which respects international law and represents a extremely dangerous “step”.
No head of state in modern Europe would think to organize a whole French assembly, all-German, general-general, general Polish, all-in-law...”, Becirovic said.
The declaration, which says the Serbian people represent a single entity, must be confirmed by the parliaments of Serbia and Republika Srpska in the next 90 days.
