US Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy Liz Allen has visited the Dresnic archaeological site in Kline today. Allen said the United States will help and encourage Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration.
The reason for the visit to Cline lies in the fact that through the Ambassador Fund for Heritage Conservation, the American Embassy is financially supporting the preservation of Dresnic's Archaeological Policy. It becomes known that Undersecretary Allen is meeting the Prime Minister tomorrow.
“It is very important that the United States is helping as its partner to preserve Kosovo's” cultural heritage, said Deputy Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy Elizabeth M. Allen during his visit to the Dresnic archaeological site in Kline, where US Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier and Culture Minister Hajrullah Ceku were present.
She said she is very aware that all these pillars are needed for such a project of this success, and having all these pillars work together. “Co-operation among the various actors that this country of this success made Kosovo look the way we want, multiethnic, democratic and prosperity”, she said, RTKlive reported.
This location is a symbol of Kosovo's European history, European history displayed and in many ways. We are now showing it is a bridge to the European future that we want to see for Kosovo. As friends and partners, I look forward to seeing about the work that is going on here and hoping to return as visitors when it's over and open to visitors to see and develop economic development and conclude this important historical programme”, she said.
Dresnic's archaeological location is considered one of the most important assets not only in Kosovo but in the entire region, so from historical, archaeological, artistic and scientific significance in 2016 the Kosovo Council for Cultural Heritage has introduced it as an asset under permanent protection of state”
The archaeological location is found in the village of Dresnic the Lower, about 1.5km east of the town of Cline, and lies in the middle of the village and the White Drini River.
Continued excavations have resulted in very interesting and important findings for the recognition of early civilisation in Kosovo. During the 2012-2015 excavations, several architectural monuments have been identified, from which Aula isolates himself at large. This type of aule can only belong to the palaces of the day. Besides the size of the object, this monument is isolated because of the entire floors of the polycom mosaic.
