Macedonian citizen Lupco Palevski é Palco, the prime suspect in the killing of 14-year-old Vanja Gjercevska and 74-year-old Panco Jezovski, was extradited to northern Macedonia by Turkey on Wednesday.
He was brought to the Macedonian capital's airport on a regular Istanbul-Skopje airline plane, from which he was sent to the Skopje prison under strict security measures.
Prison authorities have indicated that Palevski will be placed in a special cell and that there will be no contact with other prisoners.
Palevski was arrested by Turkish police in the town of Balicsiri on December 5, 2023.
The Macedonian authorities' request for his extradition to Skopje was approved by a court in Turkey on 30 April.
Three more people are suspected of this double murder, while part of the investigation is also the father of 14 years old.
The 14-year-old lifeless body was found in an abandoned area at the Skopje exit on 3 December, while that 74-year-old one was found in the town of Veles.
Vanja Gjerchevska, 14, had disappeared on November 27, after leaving home for school.
