UN Secretary General's spokesman: Genocide in Srebrenica is a legally established fact

Dujarric informed the public of numerous topics dealing with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, and in the conference's part of the journalists' questions also discussed the resolution on genocide at Srebrenica.

When asked directly what Guterres thinks of the resolution, Dujaric clearly replied that for the UN, the genocide in Srebrenica is a fact tried by the tribunal.

For memory, the resolution for genocide in Srebrenica must be ahead of the UN General Assembly in mid-May, though the exact date is not yet known. The authors of the resolution are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany and Rwanda, and the co-ponsors are Slovenia, the United States of America, Italy, France, Chile, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Vanuatu and Turkey.
