A German Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Monday that Alexander Graf Lambsdorf will return to Berlin for a week of consultations.
Lambsdorf will not be in Russia during President Vladimir Putin's inauguration for a new mandate, which will be held 7 May, the spokesman said.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on May 3rd that Russian military hackers were behind a hacker operation, which lasted months.
Also last week, the German Interior Ministry said the hackers' campaign began as early as March 2022, a month after Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine and that they managed to access Social Democratic Party headquarters emails since December last year.
According to this ministry's statement, German companies, including those in the defence and airspace sectors, were targeted by hackers as well as targets related to the war in Ukraine.
Officials said cyber attacks continued for months.
